Anyone got a swirl pot
Discussion
Mine split on the seam, I gave it to a 'friend of a friend' who is a college automotive teacher to fix for me........ he blew a hole in it
He said the wall was too thin but I have seen other posts on here about having it done successfully. Ended up buying a new one, not too dear if I remember correctly.

I bet you you find that its not your engine mount!
Have a look at the pulley bearing , the bearing will have moved in the housing .
There is no retaining on the bearing just relys on an interference fit.
If it is indeed the bearing then putting a new swirl pot on will result in you having two holed swirl pots
I do have a spare swirl poy but not back in the UK until January
it does have a mark in it but not holed

Thanks simon, I'll have a look at that later aswell. I had a look at the engine mount last night & it does have a lovely split in it. Have a look at the pulley bearing , the bearing will have moved in the housing .

I had a problem with mine last year when the top sheered away with the top bolt. I managed to get it welded up. However some very kind chap off pistonheads sent me a spare one which I didn't have to use so if you can't get yours welded let me know and I'll send you my spare.
..Fantastic, I have some beer tokens waiting for you kind sir. I'll drop you a mail shortly.

Used to get our welders to fill and fix them and you couldn't tell. And that was early eighties Japanese monkey metal!
I also moved the swirl pot 1" more central
