Can anyone tell me what car manufacturer or even better the model of which TVR robbed it from (VAUXHALL/FORD/CITROEN...ETC????) or are they purely tvr part only.

My motor works fine but i am assuming the geared teeth have gone, is this a common fault??????

Many thanks in advance......

P.S. I HAVE A 1992 4.0 250 BHP MODEL.

Sorry, can't help with a direct X ref.

Might be worth contacting the parts dept at TVR Power, It's a suprise what they've got lurking on their shelves. Otherwise it'll be the Clevor Trevor/breakers route unless anyone has a better suggestion....

Andy,

Right, they're both n/s units marked up as follows:

Bosch FPE 12V 0 130 821 069
TVR Part No: WM-M0104

One of them is made in Germany and the other one in Mexico so, I guess, that probably means that they're off a Ford?

(Thinking about it, I've replaced five of these between my two Griffs over the years and it's always been the n/s one that's gone confused )

I've just twigged - are you Bernice's other half by any chance?
If so, glad you got sorted with a car - feel free to call round for a chat anytime.

If you want to take one of the motors round to the breakers for comparison, feel free. I used Douglas Valley last time but they charged £50, as it's a TVR part rolleyes, I'm sure Metro Salvage will probably be cheaper as a Ford part.

Alternatively, you can use one to repair your own - I'll give you a hand to replace it , if you like
