Any ideas?

My Griff starts first time and ticks over OK albeit a little rich, but when I press the throttle it splutters and won't pick up the revs this happens when driving sometimes leading to it cutting out, it does seem to clear itself after it has been running a while. Has anyone got any ideas what the problem might be? I welcome your ideas.

Sounds like the stepper motor needs cleaning, if you do a search you will find lots of posts about poor running due to a dirty stepper motor..

I would try this first to see if this solves it.. if this does not work get the Air flow sensor checked...

Mine does it when cold,have to leave it for about 3 mins before it will accept any throttle input.... never does it once there is heat in the engine though.....i put it down to overly rich cold start set up.

Mine did this in the summer,was the coil though.

Mine's doing this too. Only on cold start in the morning for a minute or two. When you press the throttle it stutters before it revs. I was thinking throttle pot.

Check that the AFM knows the idle by pass is drawing air? ie your hoses around the plenum / throttle are all good.

HT lead issue ??????....... if intermittent ocurring whilst moving as original post suggestes

as you see so many diff ideas, each bassed on posters own experience....
