Could anyone hazard a guess at the likely value of a genuine 4.5 big valve Griffith?

I'd say the same money as a Griff 500.. of the same condition.

Sure the car is rarer .. then then so is a 4.3 BV but that is not worth more.

Someone who wants to own one of the 'special historic' cars might pay a premium, but it still mainly boils down to condition IMHO. Even though very rare (& desirable IMO) you aren't going to get megabucks ATM.
