Fuel line routes please
Discussion
I know the route of the fuel feed line is down the outer side of the square section away from the exhaust. But can someone tell me if their fuel feed line is also routed in this odd way.
Because the copper line is attached to the outside of the square section it has to get past each of the 3 round outrigger tubes.
It misses the front one completely because of the route up to the engine bay.
It's got a curve in it to take it over the middle outrigger tube.
So far so good.
At the rear it goes over the flitch plate and is kinked to go through the drainage gap and under the round outrigger tube where it then connects to the rubber pipe going to the filter.
This seems awfully convoluted, is it just to keep out of the way of the moving rear wishbone?
I took photos of the fuel feed pipe but not the return. Is this routed in the same way?
Ta chaps.

Those pics are a very useful resource, thanks for posting them.
On mine the thick red on the starter carries on to a fuse attached to the engine mount and then up to the alternator. Have you taken a different route for that one ? Also please could you remind me where on the engine the earth that goes to the chassis tube in the front wheel arch fixes. Can't make it out on the pic.

Hi,do these help?
You've got battery cables and brake lines running down the outside of the central chassis section, are you sure they clear the body? On my V8S that wouldn't work. While you have the access, I'd recommend adding an earth from one of the starter mounting bolts direct to the battery. This eliminates four single points of failure in the earth system.

Hi Steve, all the routing is the same as how it was originaly.I can't recall where the engine earth is attatched now sorry, its been nearly two years since the rebuild. On mine the thick red on the starter carries on to a fuse attached to the engine mount and then up to the alternator.
