Hello everyone

After lots of electricals troubles ( ignition amplifier down, central alarm box failure, fan relays out..) the pasts 6 months now it is obsiously the time for deeper ones.
My lovey griff 500 have actually 60.000 Miles and got the original cam in.
Since few weeks i noticed the engine runs with more or less 7 cylinders so i changed spark plugs first. No change.
Then i bought new distributor cap,a performance HT leadset, and performance ignition coil and put all this brand new stuff in the car full of hope but nothing changed anymore..
I just leave the car to my mechanics guy and wait for the verdict after cylinder pressure tests but i am affraid i have to change the cam.In fact the cars runs strong anyway but not "smooth" as before specially at low RPM ( under 4000 )
I that case, what is the best model to make a "light" power or torque upgrade but with reasonables parameters to continue a daily town use in the same time and keep stocks springs ?
Thanks in advance for wise answers.

Suggest you talk to V8 Developments about the cam as they have some very good options now. Rough running in the bottom of the rev range isn't the classic symptom of a worn cam so I'd want a more definite diagnosis before spending the money.

Hi

cylinder pressures won't show a worn cam, unless its worn almost flat.

Best way is to whip teh rocker covers off and make some measurements of valve lift
