Whats the size of your slot

Would it be possible for someone to accurately measure the slot in the dashboard for the Warning Light panel.

When I had my new panel made to fit mine it was:

186mm x 21mm.

This was with approx 0.5 mm gap all round,to have some more made I need to know if this is a standard size or do I have to have them made larger and the recipient will have to alter it to fit.

I just happen to have mine on the bench at the moment, its from a 1996 car

The slot in the dashboard is just over 187mm (possibly 188mm) x 22mm

I beleive the dash on the early cars were different, i'll check mine

I've just measured the three slots I have hanging about and I make it the same as RAS, 187 x 22mm - too wet to go outside at the moment but will measure the plate itself later or tomorrow.



ETA. I measured the rear, i.e. the steel 'frame work', not the veneered slot.
