Part number or info to help replace ignition barrel / switch
Discussion
My Griff so loves this sunny weather that he doesn't want to stop running
Turned the ignition switch off took key out ... the burbling from behind carried on
Not sure if the problem lies with the barrel or the switch, but want to get this sorted pdq, so does anyone have any info as to which Vauxhall parts I may need for my '92 so I may source today / tomorrow
Checked the Griffith Pages alternative parts list but BB you've let me down on this one
Checked the Bible as well but struggling to even find a reference to the ignition swith at all ( may be something to do with the fact that it's 5am )
Anyone help the Moose in distress ?
Cheers

Thanks for the tip but it turns out the centre spindle has fracured (a common problem apparantly)
Offending articals have now been removed and numbers stamped on them as follows
Barrel - 90 038 192 (2)
Switch - 90 052 497 ( ROS - Manufacturers name )
Not sure how these cross reference with Vauhall part numbers will document once I've found out
Then BB can put them on the GP's for future reference
Cheers

Just to confirm, all parts fitted AOK
Be warned that getting the roll pin out of the rear location will be a PITA.
Thankfully mine was not in properly and if you remove the spring and bucket that forces the steering wheel into the highest position you can just get to it OK
Better off destroying the switch though rather than struggle I would have thought
Front location a nice easy small flat bladed grub screw
Cheers
