Griff/Chim Engine Rebuild and Possible Transplant

Hi guys, I seem to have an old Griff/Chim engine laying around in the back of the garage. I know it needs a rebuild, but am unsure if it's a 4.0, 4.3, 4.5 or 5.0 as it came to me via a friend of a friend so to speak (and no it's not been nicked!).

Anyway, the first question I'm asking is what kind of rebuilds are available for these engines and does it depend upon whether its a 4.0, 4.3, 4.5 or 5.0 to start off with?

and secondly, (and please don't flame me) but I'm thinking of fitting it to an old family 2 door tax exempt Range Rover. Has anyone else in the TVR community done this and are there any major issues or is it really as simple as just swapping one Rover V8 for another?

Post up the engine number, at least the first 6 or 7 digits. This will tell us what engine size it is.
