After breaking down last night in the griff, basically the starter packed up, no noise no turnover nothing not even clicking........

The remote central locking stopped as well, it wont lock or unlock when the doors are close but will work when the doors are open, are we taking about a bad earth problem??????

It could be your immobiliser has had a strop. Disconnect the battery and leave it for a minute then reconnect.

STILL BAFFLED..................

left the battery off for a day still the same, cured it though and dont cringe cos its not the right way i do things but i cut off one of the door switch plungers so the immobiliser thinks its shut and hey presto, im not normally a rough myster but i need to lock the car over night

The starter fault was the ignition wire had come off the back , dont like the idea that they just clip on....stupid really
