engine gaskets ???

I've just removed the plenum from my Griff, the top bit that comes off leaving the trumpets below and there's no gasket there, is this correct? I then removed the trumpet base and there's no gasket between that and the inlet manifold, is that correct?

I would have epxected gaskets on both of these?

Anyone know?

Gaskets were never used, use some Hylomar Universal Blue.

Rover used Wellseal (which dries like varnish) but any fuel resistant ponge will do the trick, I tend to favour heametite red
