Sodding thing...

So there I was looking forward to dropping her off at V8D on Friday and the sodding PAS rack has just failed

Had to cancel V8 and now I'm in the middle of popping the rack out and returning it to the place who refurbed it last May.

Honestly, the amount of time and money I've invested in this thing I could almost go back to Pork

On the up side at least it failed two weeks before I go to Centre Geometry.

Thats sorted, 2 front Poly's have made it feel sooo much better Feels like you even notice it through the steering

One lesson learnt though, be very careful tapping the Input seal in & dont let the last tap put it off square then when you square it up it goes in slightly to far & seeps

Was racking my brains for ages though if that was the reason....

Only a couple of hours to put another in though & in my opinion one of the more straight forward jobs

Hi HRG.. If it isn't to late ring the company up & tell them what happened, I run a garage & would not expect a customer to put right my cock ups..
If they didn't recon the rack themselves the company who refurbed it will foot the bill for remove & refit,, Hope this helps GOLDIE

I've spoken to them and they'll revisit their own work under warranty, I just have to get the rack to them which is how it was refurbed the first time. Hopefully it won't have to come out again after this...

I'm not going to rush now, there's no point sending it off till after the bank holiday as that's how stuff gets lost by Royal Mail!

A seal on the O/S. Not sure exactly what but I ended up with a gaiter full of oil. She was going in for a new cam and breathing mods. Not sure exactly what as I am open to their advice so that I get more grunt. Not particularly after a screamer

I'm sure once the rack's back in and been to Centre Gravity I'll be a happy bunny again.

Find some pooftersucker who wants PAS and swap it for their manual rack (plenty of woosses around )

As soon as they say its for the wife you know who is wearing the trousers, and as for those that maintain PAS is reliable

Failing that is it possible to get a seal kit? I've spoken to TVR and it's not cheap for a rebuild but I suspect it'd come back right this time.
