Can anyone let me know what the ride height for a Griff should be? Had a search on here and can't find a reference to it.

I've changed the shocks springs and didn't measure mine before I started.banghead

I know the back should be slightly higer than the front so I guess I need a measurement from the front and one from the rear.

I have a note here Colin which says 145 front, 160 rear, tyre pressures 22f/24r
Don't damn well have it written where you measure it off though, think it was in line with the wheel centres or the chassis ends. It can't make that much difference if you use either though.
Either way its a good starting point Colin.

ETA: Now I've written that down it just doesn't sound right does it? The chassis 6 inches off the floor at its highest?

ETA (again!, well, there's nothing on the telly!)
Looks like you measure if where the outrigger meets the box section. And my measurements are probably right by the look of it
This thread clicky might make for interesting reading for you Colin.

Thanks Ian

How did you find that thread I thought I had tried every combination of words and forums but still didn't find that one......

That'll do for me.

What do you mean nothing on telly - High Plains Drifter for me. Mind you up until then things were pretty poor.

Thought measurements were taken from the corner where outrigger meets the section which goes in towards the centre of the car, ie easily accessible from by the wheel arch. From memory I thought it was 155 rear and 145 front?
Usually just get 2 fingers between tyre and arch which looks about right, never checked how high this is though.

145/160. I find the easiest way is to stick a tape rule down the gap between the wishbone and chassis and take the measurement there. The generally accepted point is the front of the front wishbone and the rear of the rear wishbone if that makes sense.

What effect on handling and high speed stability would it have if you went more, or less than these figures?

Speed humps often seem to ground out unless I go over at a crawling speed.

A bit more ground clearance would be nice.

Thanks everyone consensus seems to be 140-150 at the front and 150-160 at the rear.

I'll go for the middle ground and go for 145 and 155. It's just a baseline for now until I get the full geometry set up next week.
