Gents,
I am having the odd issue with noise interference with my after market ECU fit,
Car suddenly doing 39000 rpm according to the log (if only) and ECU reseting

I have done about everything I have been recomended, re-earthed the car, Unplugged noise creating items, fitted suppressors and still having the odd issue.cry

So I am becoming desperate and need to find a fix, confused
Any suggestions would be welcome.
My initial thoughts are to try some of these,

but would I like a second opinion, waste of time and money.
or good idea ?
and some of this on the ECU itself

Thoughts gents.

I'd prolly start with the cable to the VR sensor and make sure polarity is correct, and that the cable is shielded/routed as far away from noise sources as possible. If the polarity is reversed, will run but the signal is the wrong waveform and probably weak.

What ECU?

Hi ya..

In your MS, what is the normal running next pulse tolerance (Ingition setup). Mine is 25% and haven't played with that...not too sure if that setting would help

For EDIS, I assume that the noise must be on the PIP signal to see a large increase in RPM.. I have PIP/SAW using the same earth shield that is earthed at the EDIS end only. (on pin 7 of the Edis module).

Any chance the fans are spiking when they kick in??

I am using MS ECU, with edis 8, I have not played with the ignition setup so don't know about the 25%.
The trigger wheel wire is well away from anything noise recreating under the bonnet, however I do have the wiring running in a bunch of wires once through the gland into the car, which some of you may say is an obvious mistake and I will have a go at changing this first, apart from that I have run out of ideas. confused

If anybody can have a look at the datalogs I have recorded and can shed any other thoughts then just send me a email and I will send you a copy.
