Otter switch rating

Just bought a new otter switch from tvrshop, ordered the early turn on version (92-82). When it arrived noticed that it is marked up as (92-87) and that the terminal connectors are further apart so that the original plug will not fit. Spoke to them on the phone to check and was told that the part design has changed and is correct. Is it just a matter of altering the connectors and using the new switch or are they trying to supply the wrong part?
