And the Griff waltzed through the test with ease...... even the gas test which i was aprehensive about was a doddle with the tester commentating thats a good one,so another year of hopefully glorious weather to enjoy her in.

Shame the insurance has gone up by £40 to £280 for the year.......

Mine too!!

Lovely day for it. Although the MOT tester did try and tell me that my front number plate was illegal as it had a faint honeycomb background to it. FFS, what next?

Is that because the one with the honeycomb effect is meant to be on the back wink

Apparently they have seriously tightened the reg plate rules up recently, and honeycomb plates are a no no now,i did say the back lit rear needed to be translucent to show the light, and thats why it was in honeycombed form, but he still was adamant it was illegal now..... luckily once id shown him the set of proper plates in the boot he was happy with the three quarter front and slightly miss spaced versions i have....

At least from last monday you are now legal to show a union jack or st george flag if you so wish on the plates, rather than just the european union crap that had to be on there before..
