Pre Cats and MOT's

Having just bought a pre cat car, I've had a look at the MOT emmisions tests requirements and wondered if anyone could clarify a concern.

The MOT regs state that the cut off for lowered emmisions testing is pre July 1992 (I think), so any car registered before this date should not have any problem without a cat. However, my car was registered in September 1992. Does this mean that it will be subject to the more stringent emmisions test?
