Pre-Cat Heater Panel Mark 2

We need at least 10 people to want one of these as the supplier will only do a minimum of ten, do not know how much they will cost yet as I have not paid for the two prototypes yet.(this one is going in my Griff)but will be more expensive than the Warning Light Symbol Panel.
By the way these can be supplied with coloured strips behind the symbols if required.
IE. Red and Blue for the Heater dots and Green for the other symbols? this will cost a little extra
Just need peoples input on the design and some idea of numbers interested.

Well, if the standard and quality is as per the warning light strip I received from you I will definitely have one! I think this design is better than the Mk 1 you proposed a week or two ago, and I for one, would like to have the red, blue and green colouring as suggested, as I can never remember which way is which.
As an aside, is there actually supposed to be illumination behind these on the originals? If so, mine has never worked!

Yes Simon there is or should be illumination via fibre optics maybe your lamp has gone.I have been wondering if the symbol for the electric windows is still too large may make it a little smaller,what do you think.Also the rear of the panel could be covered firstly with black vinyl and the the symbols with the colours.WOOOAHH is this too many options am I getting carried away?

Hi GM - Looking again, I agree that maybe the window graphic could be a little smaller, although I think we should still have it (it is on the original). What is the need for covering the rear in black vinyl first and then the colouring? Or have I missed something, again...?
I presume the lamp the is used for the fibre optices is mounted somewhere under there too? (Can't see any mention of it in 'The Bible')

Glad you have some input,the reason that I put the windows symbol on is that it is on the broken bits of plastic that you sent me bloody Royal Mail

Does the one you have in your Griff not have this.Any other thoughts on it I can take it honestly
Forgot to add the arrows and the dots are exactly the same size as the original.

G.M, my panel does have the window symbol, just don't think it's needed.
Plus I am sure that when you fit switches into that panel, the edge of the switch will obscure part of the window symbol.
The heater ones I think are necessary, but we could loose the window one.
But another great job G.M......

Is it also worth having pilot holes drilled into for the fixing screws?
Presumably you have seen these on the one I sent, but they used self tapping screws with the heads turned(ground) to a smaller diameter, but then again, if people are willing to have a go at fitting these, they should be able to drill it shouldn't they?.

I did not want to drill the fixing holes just in case they were not identical on all panels,also left the hole for the alarm LED out as some have the larger hole for the alarm fob thingy to go in, instead.

Thats a good point about the LED, many cars I see have all manner of different LED's and immobiliser "touch" pads.G.M
These are going to be more a DIY fit job than the indicator panels you made arent they.
I would say then either delete the windows symbol or make it smaller, and then its good to go!!!!!!!

Have you taken yours out? The little self tappers are hidden under the edge of the switches.Just as a point of interest, most of the Pre-Cats that I have seen, mine included, do not have mounting screw holes in the panel anyway, and are fastened from behind somehow. So probably just as well not to drill holes, like the LED also, that not all cars have!
