what could replace your griff for the same money?

just been browsing through the classifieds and wondered what could replace the griff if I ever parted with it, but could only replace it with a car of similar or less value, no daydreaming over pagani zondas ect, I think I would go for a caterham type car, westfield, locust ect, even a bike engine version, and looking at the prices you`d have some left over as well.
so what are your thoughts the people?

i cant wait for the grief griff to go back to TVR Powers bodyshop in fact if i wasnt working tomorrow id drive it all the way to Northampton and walk the 55 miles back! Rather walk than get a Chim though

one more week till the CHIM returns!

Although on reflection, I think it's the owners as much as their cars that lower the tone of the neighbourhood.
There's not much else you can replace it with which ticks all the same boxes, 911 maybe but they're bit more expensive plus I prefer not to find my car covered in gob when I come back to it.
M BMW of some flavour perhaps? Cracking cars but say goodbye to being ever let out of junction again.
Lotus Esprit? lacking too many cylinders
Renault clio v6? a bit too french for my liking, great for a mate to own
so no change for me yet.
my long term plan is to get a tuscan and drop some kind of v8 into it

3.2 Carrera, S2/3 Lotus Elan, Ginetta/Dare G4, are about the only cars I fancy for similar money but just think I'd regret it imediately. My Griffs on top form at the moment!
Had a Chim 450 - loved it but it was a Griff I really wanted. Flogged it and replaced with an Elise which was fun like a kart but just not easy to get on with and just missed the grunt sooo much.
Bought a Griff and can't ever imagine selling it other than for a better, faster, louder, one!1

That's just it. Nothing replaces these cars, Nothing. You can go a little bit faster with the Jap/German stuff if you spend enough,(but the running costs increase considerably too) or you get a Holden/Monaro/Vette which is a lot heavier. So the experience is a lot different.
We are the only people who have this knowledge, so we should protect it very carefully.

I wanted sharper handling, V8 noise, more cmfort that a caterham, less comfort than a Grif and ended up with Ginetta G33 (also pretty rare, 1 of about 90 cars built)
Now, I am tempted by a Grif 500 because I want a bit more comfort. Also tempted by a Tuscan
