My car has failed the mot again because when you activate the rear fog light it does not light up on the dashboard, I dont seem to be able to remove the plastic cover over the lights in the dash to replace the bulb, does it come out ??? or do i have to remove the whole dash ?

Yup - they're all fixed in from the rear. It may require you to remove the wooden part of the dash if your hands aren't spidery enough but I found this far easier than I'd imagined*

You may just reach it over to it by opening the glovebox and going in over the back right hand side of it...bloody tricky though..maybe two man job one that way while one goes through the radio aperture..

otherwise its a dash out job

Dash out is not as bad as it sounds. On my precat it's just drop the steering column and two screws. Just be careful not to scratch the leather or flex the dash too much.
