Got my dream car at last.

Hi folks, bought a 1998 griffith 500 3 weeks ago, from a thoroughly decent chap in weymouth.What a car. I've wanted a TVR for years and only ever fancied a griff. I can't see the novelty of driving it ever fading. The 300 mile drive home in the damp conditions was an eye openner, but now the sun is out i just can't keep out of it. It's a 40th birthday gift to myself ( mid life crisis according to the missus), think she only jealous because she can't see overthe dash. Has anyone else got a short missus i.e. under 5'5" with the same problem or is it just me?

Ah well, congratulations on a smart buy and welcome aboard. Get yourself booked in for the Growl and the Gredgematch a little later in the year.That's certainly been a cherished car you now have there.
Under 5' is short, not necessarily 5' 5".
Welcome livinblokey, I've had my 500 for nearly a year and apart from the three months whilst the cam was replaced and the engine was rebuilt it has been an ear to ear grin all the time. I use mine in all weathers and it has been superb apart from the fishpond in the drivers foot well BTADTS!

Had mine just a year now...... not a single regret buying her,and today was nirvana, roof down burnt head the lot....welcome to the wonderfull world of Griffdom,go to the growl and see a lot of grown men walking around smiling like loonies.

Well done Livin', welcome. Same for me. Wanted a Griff for 10 years. Paid the mortgage off last September, got the Griff500 in November. It's true about the Griff grin.Steve
