Just wondering.. not a great day here (Berkshire) but the 1st time for ages that the roads are dry. So this morning off came the dust covers & on went the scalf & gloves!

Full credit to you Ed - having just done the wash & polish in the weekend I didn't want to take a chance on rain today. You may have just shamed me into action for tomorrow (if its dry)

BTW - remember that big puddle we crawled through a few weeks back? Didn't think much of it at the time but I was just reading the Bible on "hydraulocking" and felt sick at the bit that said 7.5" is enough to do it. Reckon it must have been close...

Out today and everyday! I use the Chim as my main car. Okay, my only car. Reliable and fun and economical compared to a big 4 x 4 thing (major justification to myself). What is this "season" you people speak of???

Ffirg 005 I can speak from experience on the hydrolocking issue. Thankfully I didnt bend any of the piston rods etc and a new engine was not required but I had the worst wait of my life until Fernies put my engine back together and told me it wasn't a £12,000 job!!!

Problem with the Griff is the air filter is low down and at the front of the car. Evidently I sucked in a whole LOAD of water and the car died. When they took the top off and cranked it water sprayed all over the place apparently

Just come back from a blast up the Snake Pass, as the roads were dry, I thought I would give my Tiger Supersix a run out, and ended up blowing a maroon Tuscan into the weeds...

I'm with Monkeypilot on this one - the Griff is my one and only - car that is!

So come rain or shine were out there doing our stuff. I can see the Griff in the car park from my office window and I'll grant you, she is in need of a wash!!

Mines used daily too, except for yesterday when the alternator packed up,it lasted 11 years next to the exhaust manifold though which is applaudable even if it was Italian.

Mine was all wshed and polished a fortnight ago and I've not moved it since, not until I left the reversing lights turned on overnight on Brutus and so he wouldn't start.

Once the Griff was out of the garage though, it's so hard to get it back in. Done 400 miles so far this week, bummer, that next service is looming ever closer!

Took the beatie out for a run yesterday and dropped in to see a customer. Got to the barrier and it went up automatically (man in hut had been told to watch out for it!) They ended up queuing for rides, ands as you can imagine I had an awful time showing it off and taking them round the local roads... heh

Washed & waxed yesterday (the car - not me).. and another 100 miles since then (roof on today though as it's was 1.2 C as I left for work)

Getting serviced very soon & think it moight be time to consider these saucy Nitron jobbies. IT is Xmas you know !!
