Discussion
Hello from Norway!
Have for some time had great pleasure following your discussions!
Bought my Griffith 500 (-96) this summer (one of 5 in Norway I believe!), and decided to do some upgrades and a serious walk trough this winter.
Have just upgraded engine management, and are now waiting eagerly for some Carbon-fibre items to arrive from Tim.
When changing to Nitrons yesterday I made a funny observation. Could actually hardly believe my eyes!
The original front dampers were not equal! Read the numbers below:
Front Left Red Eibach TVR C 0098 Bilstein C0163 6241715M202 cc360
Front Right Red Eibach TVR C 0098 Bilstein D0112 6241716M101 cc360
Rear Left Yellow Eib TVR D 0103 Bilstein D0112 6241716M101 cc375
Rear Right Yellow Eib TVR D 0103 Bilstein D0112 6241716M101 cc375
When front dampers are fully extended they have the equal length, cc360mm, BUT the spring of the right damper is compressed 14mm more due to the fact that the lower spring support is raised 14mm on the damper body! The result of this was a car which was raised on right front. Which one is correct? And for what car is the other destinated?? Looking forward to a new (and more stable!
) life with Nitrons!

4-5 hours
from the polar circle!
It's winter here now, 6" of snow.... Looking forward to a new spring!
Taxes and Norway... It's
crazy! I know the first owner had to pay around £100.000 back in -96!! With full hide and AC but no PS! We pay progressive taxes for weight, cc and hp, pluss 24% VAT on top. M3 today is £75.000! But, we have some beautiful mountainroads, midnightsun in the summer and tasty bear

Yep - and some of the most aggressive policing in Europe!!!
I was on my way back from Oppdal to Trondheim in February and there were 2 mobile speed units. I was amazed I didn't get caught, but each time they had already nicked someone.
I agree that your country and roads are some of the most impressive I've ever seen. I'm planning a trip up the West coast soon - especially after visiting Molde and Kristiansand earlier this year.
Good luck with the Griff and avoid the speed traps
