windscreen washer routing?

Car failed its MOT today because the headlights are not aligned correctly and the windscreen washers didn't work. I can manage the lights but can anyone tell me how the pipe is routed to the windcreen from the tank at the front of the car? The pipe disappears into the front wing but there appears to be water coming out underneath somewhere which I don't understand. I assume there is a connector underneath that's come adrift? Garage blew an airline through the pipe and so it propably isn't blocked.

They also spotted my slightly smaller front number plate.

Oh the joys of c**p design!!!. My washer nozzle has also some how broken.. and the tube supplying water has fallen into the mirky depths behind the dash.

I understand.. and would love to be corrected, that the solution is to remove the bonnet latch allowing access.. then by feeding tube or wire back down into the nozzle hole near the wipers, attach the washer tube to the end of whatever you poked down the hole (I assume that is going to be visible were the bonnet latch was).. then draw it back.

Haven't tried it as yet...

It might not be the neatest solution, but I suffered the same 'dissappearing nozzle' when I fitted the Leven wipers.

I ended up using a dremel on the bulkhead directly underneath to create an access window, which I covered up afterwards with an ally plate siliconed in place.

Can be made to look neat enough - I suspect the alternative is to get at it from behind the dash?

Just an update.. ignore my previous comment as when I took the bonnet latch off.. there was no hole..

The best route is
1. Take out the dash
2. Take off the dash surround (lots of bolts)
3. Drill a hole and hey presto you find the tube

Sounds like a faff but yes the pipe has been cocooned in glass fibre home

Err, not exactly original but when I suffered this to my wifes Griff 500 on holiday in France a few years ago we just ran some new tubing across over the rad, alongside the intake tubing and up to the wipers - I tidied and changed it for black tubing when we got back and have left it ever since - no dash out, dead easy to do, rad preheats the spray as well

Hi,
there are plenty of threads regarding this problem, which I too had.
Drill 1 inch hole under scuttle mesh in line with the connector (need to remove bonnet latch for drivers side), you can fish around for pipe and pull back through scuttle with suitable instrument and then reconnect and 1 inch blanking plug into hole drilled.
