Dnb, you free this saturday??Well im having a not so good week. On friday night I hit some debris in the road and now have a couple gouges out of the front below the drivers headlight, and this theme continues up the drivers door to the rear arch. 
And this morning im getting very irratic running, and what sounds like a clanking from behind the dash....
Any ideas ???

Happy to say it's the same here LG !! Had a great day yesterday just driving, the first time I've had the time to enjoy the car for about 3 weeks. Didn't think I'd had time to miss it, but as soon as the temp was up and I pushed the loud pedal the silly grin came back and I realised I'd missed it badly.Tavan said:

Thought I could say same - until yesterday when discovered small perforations in fuel tank.
Had exactly the same problem just over a month ago. The tank had rubbed on a small 'spike' of fibreglass on the boot floor over the years and finally gone through. Sorry to say this but Griff tanks are like rocking horse poo, hope its repairable, otherwise it's a fabrication job. Good luck. Thought I could say same - until yesterday when discovered small perforations in fuel tank. Same here I have owned it 5 years and kept it in the same garage all the time,but this year made a total b***ocks when putting it back into the garage and grazed the passenger side front wing

The main problem is down to the engine running lean (not rich enough) but the main noise is comming from the alternator it seems, so if anyone knows the best place to get one...please let me know
My car is off to see the bodyshop tomorrow to get a quote, then its fix it time
so off the road for a few days AGAIN..But it still drives, and im still a massive fan..In fact im bonding more.. Mainly fibre glass matting to the body but bonding none the same

So the Griff is in Bristol Ave for a few days - having roof split and trimmed by S&D and D&C, also Gaz Gold's installed and full alignment. Dropped the car into Bristol Ave on Sunday.Meanwhile shox arrived and took them over today. Felt ok until asked for wheel nut lock key
. Left it at home - so another round trip to Manchester to get it. Doh! Beginning to feel I own the M61 and M55. Have recovered the fuel tank back to the house and started the three day sealing procedure.
. Hope to get it back in and the car on the road on Sat.
I brought the Griff into work yesterday - despite it being a damned boring motorway run the entire journey.
God it was a wonderful drive home in the sunshine last night. I even had the passenger of a Scooby hanging out of the passenger window at traffic lights, 3 lanes away, asking me to rev the engine.
Not only did I oblige, but I roared off and down the slip road for him too.
It would have been churlish not to eh
After 5 years we haven't failed to get home under our own steam. Even with all the troubles at this years Le Mans we still made it home ourselves.
