Can anyone tell me what alternator is used on the pre-cat griffith please.

Mine is now making lots of noise and needs changing I think.

Yes it is. Range Rover 100amp when I replaced mine.
I took it with me to an alternator place and he recognised it straight away and pulled one off the shelf.

Came to less than a ton delivered.

I guess the bearings could be on there way out; you can change these. I used SKF bearings with the following Part No.s SKF62032RSH and SKF60032RSH. £10.95 inc.
