Power steering input shaft seal leaking.

Has anyone changed the input shaft seal and can it be done without rack removal.

i have seen this some where its a BMW seal and no reason why you cant change it

To fix this permanently the highpressure-teflonseal that sits behind the seal you can see has to be changed(same problem on my rack). This can only be done with the rack removed and special tools.
I don´t know if this seal is available now. Last year i had one made up by a specialist as they were not available then.

Quinny did it IIRC with the rack in place, not sure about the teflon seal though.
