Have you secured your ACT air filter to AFM pipe?

Its getting on my damned nerves and its soooo close to the manifold unless its tied down.
I found a cable tie poking out of the inner wing, so I slung a cable tie around the pipe then hooked another cable tie through both the inner wing one and the new one around the pipe and pulled them together.
It works, but it isn't pretty and I like things to be right.

My mate suggested glassing a couple of big jubilee clips to the inner wing and securing it with them. Has anyone either done something to secure this beast of a pipe, or modified it in some way to make it bit tighter to the wing and out of the way of the manifolds and bonnet edge? I'm thinking it might be a nicer fit if its cut somewhere down by the bonnet roller slots, and a piece of stainless tube inserted

Mines not secured but has never been a problem. It sits tight to the wing and never moves.

My Griffith has about 3 plastic slotted mounts rivited along the inner wing. This allows the the AFM pipe to be cable tied in place. I assume these were fitted as standard to retain the pipe in place - build date late 94.

Mine(98 500) has one slotted mount riveted to the inner wing which is used in conjunction with a cable tie and it holds the pipe in place well. I also use an insulating sleeve which I bought at the same time as the pipe.
