Isn't it marvellous, driving in this hot weather with the roof down and windows open?
Last night, even though I'd driven the beemer for 5 hours and the last thing I normally feel like doing is getting back into a car, I found a reason to go out.
I uncovered the Griff, left the garage doors wide open and cruised off into the warm evening.
It was complete and utter bliss and 'quick blast' took me an hour and a half.
Anybody who moans about it being hot will have the boys pay them a visit. I bleeding love it.
These are the days I dreamed of when I was freezing my arse off on the garage floor last winter and suddenly its all worth it.

Perhaps you have some form of ventilation in your Griff? I took mine out last night, as I have done pretty much every day for the last couple of months, and it's fecking sweltering!
The best I can do is vent the hot air to the screen but the footwell is still comically hot. I'm sure to you technically competent types you think it's just a simple matter of reading a thread or topic and following the simple instructions to get a trouble free ventilation/heating system but it's all beyond me. I just freeze in winter and sweat in summer.

Shock horror!!Good as this weather is, I’m stuck without a hat again. My head is as highly polished as my Griff, so it burns. The trouble is that being tall; the wind gets under the brim and off goes yet another hat.
To make matters worse, the aerodynamics cause the escaping hat to tumble around in a pocket of air about a foot above the boot lid. Until you slow down to catch it, and then it disappears backwards.
The only thing that stays put is a beanie hat, but mine is black wool and suited to winter. In summer it absorbs the heat and is hell to wear.
I need to get a beanie made of cotton. But I can’t find one in the high street. I’m just about to go for a quick drive around France so I don’t have time to order one off the web. Anyone know a high street chain that carries cotton beanies in stock?

Have you tried a Buff? http://www.sportingtriangle.co.uk/acatalog/buffsho...I used to use one on my Bike but my brother uses one in his Tuscan, basically as a thin beanie.

The likeness is too close for comfort, but Sue said I’m not that good looking.
Besides, it’s a holiday, and I won’t get into the holiday spirit if I have to go like that.
It’d be like I’m dressed for work.
I’ll have to tie (yet another) baseball cap to the headrest and by something en route for now. Tugging it back down every few seconds drives me nuts. Greasing up with factor 50 just makes it more slippery.
