Ooops.. Looks like I over-engineered the new heater/blower

I have melted the wires that power the fan. No wonder it didn't want to move much air when it could only draw 11A through through the loom when it is capable of drawing over 15A on the bench test harness.

Damn. Just what I didn't need this close to the Growl.

I hope it’s sorted in time for the Growl David. Not that I have been able to get the time off work.

Since it’s not far from the battery/fusebox, would a small replacement loom be easier than redesigning the heater?

I would rather have a little more work to fit it and have something really powerful.

For the Air Conditioning to really work effectively with the roof down, it’s going to need to move a large capacity of air. Having to add a few wires is aggravation once. Compromised and inadequate fan power would be a pain forever.

Definite yes to rewiring! I have no desire to add anything to the controller to limit current to the motor to an absurdly low level.
