Strange beep every 30 seconds ?!?!

Morning all

I picked up my very first Griff yesterday. Suffice to say I've got a ridiculous grin welded to my face!

Unfortunately however, I have already encountered a minor niggle. Every 30 seconds or so, there's a beep that comes from the dash. No warning lights are on, just the beep.

Does anyone know what she's trying to tell me?

Has it got a 'parking' aid or jammer installed? You could look for a sensor on the front or rear of the car.

Might be a daft question but is it coming from the Radio/CD player?

No parking aids, jammers or odd kit. I've also taken the face off the stereo. It's very strange. Sounds like it's coming from within the dash.

Lol, it's probably the Tracker sending out a mayday!

ETA, does it do it when the car's stationary, ignition switched off or on? Or has the car got to be moving?

Hi everyone

Bit of an update:

The beep only happens when the ignition is on. It's a relatively loud, electronic "beep" sound.

Yesterday, rather than every 30 seconds, the frequency increased to the point where it would beep twice every 5-10seconds. At which point I pulled over, switched the engine off, set the alarm, disengaged the alarm, opened the door, closed the door, turned the ignition on and it stopped.

It comes on intermittently and lasts varying amounts of time.... very confused

Sounds like it could be the alarm/immobiliser but I just don't know. There's no rhyme or reason to it.
