Water Pump

Coolant leak from the centre of engine near the hose (new) from Water Pump ? to Engine....

Just in case, have you the ref. of Water Pump for a 1993 4.0 Griffith. On the griffithpages, I have found the following reference :

Serp: STC4378 (same as later P38 4.0/4.6, and Discovery 3.9 intermediate.

I presume it is not suitable for pre serp engine ?

The pre-serp ones are very common, there are loads on Ebay which is where I got mine.

Really? I thought it was the other way round...

Serps use a water pump that is common across LR intermediates, and both p38 motors. The preserps use an SD1 (not LR) water pump with short nose, IIRC V8D was one of the few places that could reliably supply like for like bolt on replacements.

Many thanks. In fact the hose to Water pump (arrival) coming from engine is damaged.

Have you by chance Rover spare part number of this hose ? (for pre serp. engine) ?
