Rocker cover filter... or not?

This is what I have on the rocker cover... reading the Bible last night suggests I should have a filter here... but this is all I have?... 99 reg Griff 500... any thoughts?.. nothing appears to come out of it... did they change how this worked on the later cars?

You're missing the filter assembly as shown here:

Can you see the pic?... I can't... the hole must be blocked as nothings coming out of it... will investigate....

That's the one... still can't see it....
Anyway .. will get the filter today... what's in the mushroom thing... is it just a hole or a disc valve or something? if its a hole I'll stick a drill down it as it must be blocked up...
I assume these also unscrew fron the cover... could fit one of thoes nice chrome (and no doubt cheaper) units?....cheers...

There is just a very small hole in the mushroom I just poked a needle in mine.

You can get the filter and cover from Clever Trevor . It is I believe just for engine breathing.

I think the mushroom is just a very tight fit and not threaded.

I've got a filter and cover from a local Landy dealer to collect on the way home tonight... £2.80 plus Vat so no probs there... will get the Hoover out tonight and clear the hole... don't want anything going in do we!!... cheers

Did it with a drill.. about 1mm so very small but is was blocked... advantage of a drill is that you can screw out the debris... that and the vaccume... job done.. and the new housing clipped in place.... must have been like that for some time?... obviously no big deal??... cheers
