stepper motor

Hi can anyone help? revs on my griff 500 stay at 1500/2000 when car is hot, cleaned the stepper motor and butterfly still no change, would it need to be replaced if so wheres the best place to buy from.took it out for a run tonight and its now got a misfire as well, any ideas?

I had the same symptoms, when warmed up - ok from cold. Turned out to be the ECU temperature sender unit. Nice and cheap.

Sort the misfire first, the ECU may be in fall back mode and holding the RPM high. Borrow a fault code reader if you can and see what it says.
