clutch replacement on Griff 500 -'racing clutch' on fleabay

Judging by the trail of oil across the car park I reckon the main rear seal on my Griff has finally given up the ghost (it's been dripping for some while)so it looks like it's time to drop the gearbox out and fix the leak. While I'm at it it seems sensible to change the clutch -must be about time!

So, any comments on sources of clutches? Is the clutch on a Griff 500/Chim 500 a TVR special or a standard Land Rover part (if so any ideas as to part number?)Is the clutch on a 5litre different from the smaller engined Chim's or older Griff's?. Failing that, I see someone is flogging what they call 'Fast Road Clutch' sets for TVR's on Fleabay. Any ideas what these are like? Any good?

Ive had mine out last week, but the clutch did'nt need changing luckily. I did a bit of research beforehand though just in case. I suggest you do a search for Techniclutch on google, and then buy one from V8 Developments

I run a clutch purchased from Paul @ V8 Tuner, so far so good.

Avoid the ebay company like the plague - buy cheap, buy twice and all that. I can say no more without moderation. (But email me if you like)

big thanks to Lewis and Dave ('DNB') -looks like you guys just saved me a wedge of cash and a bucket load of grief. Anyone else looking at the fleabay clutch kits really ought to do what Lewis says and plug Techniclutch into google....
