From the chimp forum:

"Had manifold gaskets replaced 3 years ago because the tapping was driving me insane.

Recently i have noticed a small ticking from the engine area when under load(low acceleration),but only when the roofs off(i know dont take the roof off then!!).

Engine done 68,000 and had full 12,000 mile service 10 months ago with no problems.

Ideas would be appreciated

Typical hehe

The source of my amusement was more that, as per all Chimp owners, he drove around with the roof up. I empathise with the fact that he's suffering from detonation getmecoat

What about one of your long-term stalwarts having to ask about the service schedule... rofl

I'd be very careful singling out numpties, there are plenty on both sides of the bodywork fence tongue out

Oi you, that dig is clearly intended at me you bounder!
We're not gonna have to fall out again are we Mr Spend? punchhehe

If you read the context of that thread, rather than just the words, you'll find its less about the service schedule itself and more about not wanting to miss anything now I'm 'servicing' the Griff myself.
Since when is servicing the clutch cylinders, stripping and cleaning the calipers, replacing UJ's etc part of any sort of service schedule?

Don't go dragging me into your handbag wars, I gave up poking fun at you lot ages ago tongue out

Well hasn't the service schedule been on BB's TGP for ages? wink

I couldn't believe a Grifter wasn't in possession of it, after avidly reading that fine site cover-cover hehe

Or maybe another page only a very select few of us can see rofl( tongue out at the BBoops )

Looks like it's somewhere in his digestive tract by the look on his face? Whether it went top down or bottom up I'll leave you to decide hehe
