Tuscan seats for Griff

they also reduce headroom so if you're a Giraffe it might cause a problem
Hmmm. Perhaps not then. I only have a couple of inches headroom at the moment.
Do the Cerbie seats reduce headroom too? If so, then I'll be happy with anything that doesn't have the upholstered lump at the top of the seat that the Griff has. Has anyone installed a non-TVR seat such as a Cobra or Recarro, and has it worked for road use?
Further ideas welcome!
I've replaced Grffith seats with original Cerb seats.. confirm you sit approx 2" higher. Other than that soooooo much better.Fitting was as doddle (ie I got Ewelme Coachworks to fit them.. but they told me took them 1 hour ish)
There's a bloke that sprints a ruby 500 with bucket seats.. Robin think his name is.. cant remember if he's a Gasser or not. You out here Mr. Lowered 500?!

You'll find quite a few posts under "seats" in this and the Chim forums. I had a quick look and it seems the Cerbera seats using the Griffith runners go in with no changes. There is some concern with the width of the Tuscan seats. Zertec offers an expensive but quality option, though don't know if this is still available.
I can't find it in the forums, but I recall reading about someone who simply re-used the original Griffith seat frame, but had it completely re-padded and re-trimmed to their requirements. This kept the original headroom, but greatly improved lateral support and comfort.

Fitted Tuscan seats to my Chim, no problems at all. They are a better seat and as said earlier they do just need to have a couple of holes drilled in the floor to fit.
But if you really want to be safe get some bars attached to the chassis and bolt the seats to them. This will make the whole seat stable if you end up in an accident.
Not that we TVR drivers ever go of road.
Tuscan seats are far better seats than those already in the Griff/Chim
