Heat shielding plug leads

Has anyone had a go at this,my precat has been eating leads recently,breaking down really quickly despite isolating them from the exhaust manifolds,so have decided to bite the bullet and go for a set of Magne Cours.Obviously don't want them to go the same way.Any advice would be appreciated.

This has been done on my 4.5 precat and seems to work. The end of the leads are shielded by using exhaust wrap.

I'll upload a photo in the morning if you want to see. Very simple solution.

Blimey, they're expensive. You can get a set of Megnecors for that and they're pricey. Mine have been in-place for 5 years and show no sign of deterioration but I guess you'd expect that of high-temp silicone sleeving.

I ran Magnecores on my S3 for 20, 000 miles, and have had them on my Griffith for 5+ years. No problems.
