Koni shocks

I know this sounds daft but I happen to like my 4.3 riding on the original Koni's. I can't find them listed anymore. Is it still possible to buy a new set?

I like the Koni's too. I managed to replace mine with some old stock a while back. I think Koni will still do a rebuild on these, might be the only option now if your determined to keep them as there getting on now.

Talking to a well respected Indie once he still rated the Koni's, apparently a lot of the early reported damping issues where down to the fact that the factory did'nt always set the dampers up equally side to side,or front to back, they are adjustable but not on the car. My old set certainly were not set up properly, were miles out. I have the recommended settings somewhere.
You need to remove the top bush eye and the bump stop, push the rod down and turn to adjust. Out of curiosity I cut an old one open to see how it worked. I changed to the later precat type original rear springs to go with them (blue stripe rear instead of yellow stripe)and i'm happy with it.

Thanks Grifter, I'll contact Koni. I don't want to lose use of the Griff whilst they a being re-furbed so will see if I can find a used set to tide me over.

I had my suspension set up by my indie and, like you, it was brilliant afterwards. I'll mug up on the springs though.
