2 or 3 piece Oz Split Rims

Can anyone confirm whether my Griffs original Oz Split Rims are 2 or 3 piece
I've managed to find, what seems like, a reputable company to re-furb them and it makes a difference to the price (£120 or £160 per rim).
Just found out they are 3 piece, and searching back through the threads remembered the company called www.renowheel.co.uk in Bridgend that also came highly recommended and much cheaper!

is this £120 or £160 include VAT and what are you having done.
I've just got some and they need some work - 1 kerb damage and the studs need replacing/refurbing and I want to know someone who has had them done and see the work standard before committing such a large sum.
Thinking of going to see A1 in Wolverhampton (I live in Brum) to get a quote. Will let you know.
What are the TVR wheel centres like as 1 of our has a mark?
Could we get a discount having 8 done at once??
Can you post some pics before and after?

No probs Dusty! I was just asking others what the re-furb companies were asking me. Apparently 2 piece are not so critical regading re-sealing unlike the 3 piece rims, hence the reluctance for some companies to want to do the job
aha! So now 2 piece makes sense to me. The 2 pieces are the rim and the inner section. The rim doesn't actual split.
(Well, I suppose it splits from the inner bit!)
I always assumed that all "multi piece" wheels were split rims.

Assuming we are all talking about the Oz Multi Spoke rims that were available as an option when the Griffs were new, I suspect the actual rim is split in 2 with a flange on the inner half and a flange on the outer half.
These are sandwiched together with the centre multispoke part of the rim and bolted together with the 30 Titanium bolts, that makes 3 pieces.
If you look at the back of the rim you can see the bolt heads or nuts sticking through (wish I could draw this, it would be easier to explain!).
Apart from the aesthetics I assume the sole purpose of the 3 piece racing rim was to enable quick tyre changes on the track, without the use of tyre levers etc. For ease, the rim would only have to be split and re-sealed with the de-flated tyre in place ????
I will be able to confirm my theory when they are removed from the car and taken apart for re-furbishment shortly.
Now where did I put my anorak ? !!!!!
