Foxgaurd alarm help

Hi,
my foxgaurd alarm has long gone and the aftermarket replacement (unknown make) has failed. I have found the appropriate wiring loom leads that run to the alarm. I hope there is some one out there with foxgaurd wiring alarm knowledge that could help me identify the wiring, so that I can install a new alarm unit. I can workout a fair bit using the bible, intuition and voltage meter but would like some confirmation. I have contacted Carl Baker for assitance but being in Australia does not make things easy.(Car is A Griffith 500 build date Oct 94).

I would appreciate any help, obviously via email as I don't want to post sensative info on a public forum.

Hi Ozstyle,

I junked the meta alarm and immobiliser unit in my 98 Griff and installed an Autowatch alarm. The new alarm went straight in easy enough, from memory I needed 4 relays to convert from negative to positive trigger (or maybe the other way round) for the the central locking lock and un lock actions, the remote boot popper and interfacing to the auto window winder system. The new alarm I installed was happy to accept a positive or negative trigger when the door opens. Nearly everything you need to connect to should go straight into the old alarm loom or the old immobiliser loom. But, if whoever installed your alarm of unknown make didn't know what he was doing you could be in for a shock.

If you email me I can try give you the more intimate details, I don't remember many colours but I do remember how it worked. Or I can come give you an hand, Adelaide isn't such a big place. It would be nice to see another Griff

Thanks to those who offered help. A new alarm installed. A big thumbs up to Bridgewater Electronics who can supply everything for the oem TVR foxguard alarm system, excellent service too all the way over here in Australia.
