Flooded my engine. Now what?

So, I'm a berk, and in my haste to get out for a spin, I stalled while reversing out of my parking space. And then couldn't restart. Everything seems to be working (fuel pump, starter motor, lots of unburnt fuel vapour coming out the exhausts) but it's just not catching - get a bit of a splutter but no firing. I left it for an hour or so and tried again, hoping it would just sort itself, but no joy. Is there a 'method' I should now be using? Swearing at it hasn't helped.

If you have flooded it, whip the plugs out and turn it over, pop the plugs back in and away you go..

Some ECUs have flood clear modes that are enabled when you crank the engine with WOT.. It'll crank with no injector firing.. I don't know whether your ECU has that feature I'm afraid..

The plugs may take ages to dry, I've dried them on the gas ring before now if they've been really wet.

Hmmm, drying petrol soaked spark plugs on a gas ring .... do you still have eyebrows?

^ Lol, it's not as if you've got a tank of petrol in the kitchen. You just dry them out, I've never had anything ignite. It's no different to holding the plug over a cigarette lighter except that way your fingers get burnt

Always worth cranking it over with the throttle wide open.

Sure worked on my T350 when it did the same.

It does not actually fire until it's not at Wide Open Throttle.

Or spin it over with the fuel pump relays removed.
