Griffith gremlins have defeated me hands down, I give up.

I'll swap the whole triple plenum, intake base, Bosch airmeter, sensors, the damn CUX, the half dozen Mark Adam's tuned chips, the old injectors and the hundred meters of dumb electrical wires for a nice and clean four barrel carb.

End of story.

(...and sorry for ventinggetmecoat)

Do you trust the timing marks. I had a chimp which had issues, which were down to timing marks in the wrong place. I also know a griff which had issues, which were traced (after many 000's spent) down to timing mark being in the wrong place....

Sounds like you need Mr Mark Adams in person. Bit of a long way to go though..
I assume the Adams chips have been reprogrammed to work with the Bosch airmeter? Wont work otherwise..

Good choice to throw the Lucas stuff out of the car. I haven't looked back since I did.

I do the timing myself but not through the marks, I test the car and move the timing manually retarding and advancing it until it does not pink and runs smooth and strong and keeps a healthy idling...the funny thing is that just two days ago i adjusted the timing perfectly with the usual manual sistem and the engine runned strong for two days...this morning it went fine, this afternoon crap again, no idle, no smooth pulls, not enough revving.

It sounds like I'll need to start everything again...!!!

Could it be a poor seal on the triple plenum? Could a vacuum leak could cause those symptoms? A carbon plenum could conceivably change shape on a regular basis. Enough to cause a slight leak....

I'll look into the plenum seals but, still,it remains difficult to believe that the engine runs strong one day and gets crap the day after.

The carbon plenum looks pretty strong I don't think it'd change shape on daily basis...it's a great piece of work.

VEMS ECU, Siemens injectors and 8 coils from a US tuning company. The only Lucas part left now is the coolant temperature sender.
