No . .. but when I was last at JE's he had one on the dyno and the numbers it gives are very impressive, the crossover manifold is designed to fit under a TVR bonnet. Intake will take some working through but a number of people have solved that already and a bit of plagerism would get that sorted . .. .

They look nice but sure are expensive.

Probably worth saying that the throttle size needs to be matched to your engine size and spec.

A standard Griff 500 will not need much more that 42 MM or 45 mm if it's a real screamer with a solid lifter cam.

Wildcat also do TB's (you specify the size needed) (about £1500)
Here's my engine with TB's :

He does a couple of inlets now,
the afore mentioned xover and the earlier swan-necks.
All make proper numbers and huge torque...the real advantage.
My 5L runs on 48mms, original Tuscan spec. As for the TBs, they have to be the ultimate nowadays.
Under £3K with 8 jenveys...no too bad, surely? He is the man tho, if he says they're good...

Would it be feasible if you can sort the manifold issues to use mororbike throttle bodies?
I know it would be a not inconsiderable amount of effort but there are some pretty resourceful people on here.
If you look on ebay bike throttle bodies go for next to nothing.

I just did a quick google and found this, you see what I'm thinking?

There's also coolant to think about, injectors, throttle pot irked

Just a thought for discussion really for those of us that have lots of enthusiasm but less funds!

Have you done any calcs to work out what size of throttles you would need?

I bought a set like Alans with 56mm throttles for @300, including all linkages, stat, fuel rails... all thats needed is a bit of engineering to convert from Wildcat to Rover head pattern. 8 bike tbs + all the other stuff would cost a lot more than that, even if you got them to work?

Hi guys, I had a set of Honda fireblade TB on my Chimaera, looked great but that was about it, 15 mpg (driven slowly!) a bugger to keep in tune, want back to a modified plenum in the end (more power as well)

I think its in this months ppc that dave walker (always one to listen to when he says something) says to keep away from bike throttle bodies, he says they're fundamentally flawed for car installs. There are people who have got them to work, but how well I dont know ..

Nope no calcs - just as I said a catalyst for discussion - I don't even have a working engine at the moment!

£300 sounds like a bargain though.

That's a good price but they really are very big.

Masking the butterflies down is a lot easier than trying to enlarge orifices wink, I am also in the envious position of being able to shape the air in front of thebutterfly to suit the port shape a little bit better than the circular - oval port, can't see gentle massaging of the air flow being harmful hehe

Must get round to finishing the drawings of the manifold adapters so I can rig them up whistlewhistle
