Oil and charge light LED?

Does anyone know the origin/spec of the charge and oil warning light LED's? These are the ones between the tacho and speedo which are built into a metal housing.

I am trying a revised dash design and need to find similar spec led's but not built into a housing.

My suspicion is a 5mm LED with in-line resistor but need to be sure.

These are the original ones, hope the link works, if not search RS for 12v recessed LED.

As you say , they have a built in resistor.

I am making some small changes to my dash, like adding single indicator tell tale LED inbetween the clocks, and shortening the warning display unit.

I'm playing with different designs of pre-cat dash in an attempt to beef up the dial support, the originals don't fit now because I have lost space for the flange.

I have had some recessed rings made for the smaller gauges, this will negate the need for the small "tabs".
For the tacho/speedo, I will stick with the tabs and fit a few more per gauge.

The idea of the rings is to enable more contact area when sticking them to the rear of the dash.Also, they will have grub screws to grip the gauge, giving better alignment chances.....

Ahh, similar routes, except I'm also making up a pair of joined rings behind the speedo and tacho to reduce flex and give a more secure recess to locate the dials.
