Griffith values

I have noticed of late that any Griffith with less than about 25k miles is being sold by the better known dealers at prices above £20,000 a price which I assume includes a decent warranty. Seems a big step up particularly at this time of year and under the current economic conditions. Just an observation really but looks good for long-term values.

Having just bought exactly what you mention, low mileage, very clean, well looked after/documented, from a well known dealer with a years warranty I totally agree with you.
The dealer had a decent selection with not a huge price variation across them despite mostly minor cosmetic issues. They seem to be selling them like hot cakes even in this environment and told me they couldn't get enough decent ones to keep up with demand.

Seems to me if you're buying they're expensive but if you're selling they're cheap.
The last two winters I've put mine up for sale at between £9,500-£12,000 and barely had a sniff. Okay, it's an early precat with well over 100k and a little past its best.
Maybe this year is different but I'm not in the mood to get rid of it at the moment.

I've also noticed the sudden increase in asking prices from dealers.

It's good to hear that they seem to be able to sell at these prices but i wonder what the real experience of private sellers is at the moment.

We still see nice looking Griff 500's advertised on here at circa £11k, which seems crazily low for such a dynamic car.

TVR have gone, there were never that many Griffs in the first place, they blew the motorshow away when they were released, it's only a question of time before they start appreciating.

With those looks they'll be the next e-type IMO.

Here's hoping so. Personally I avoided a low mileage example as I don't want to be depressed at how much money I'm loosing by driving it!
