Front hub Bearing question

Hi Sorry for all the questions but still learning.

I have replaced the front hub bearings on my griff I believe the torque settings are 320nm. Now that they are built back up the hub is quite hard to turn by hand is this standard with new bearings or should they be free turning.

I did the front wheel bearing on my V8S (identical to Griff) a while ago and its not stiff as in difficult to turn - it does need some effort but it feels like a greased / damped effect not tight or stiff.
You would have difficulty turning it at any speed by hand due to this damping effect.

I assume you still have it off the car and not back on with the brakes dragging against it?

Cheers for the quick reply. The way you have explained it seems to be the same. It is smooth and not grating it can be turned by hand without to much effort.
Yes the hub is still off the car.

They do seem a bit stiff(?) when first torqued up IME.

They'll feel like they're smoothly dragging. Any notchiness and they're over-tightened.
