Are my stars telling me something today?!

You may feel obligated to buy an expensive gift out of social pressure. The fact is you don't have the funds to afford such a purchase. Be courageous and make something with your own two hands. This will give you distinction, as well as prevent you from going into debt. Turn a deaf ear to nagging fears, especially with regard to bold new ideas. You need to venture into unfamiliar territory.
So, how do I build a Griff then?
I guess I'll blame the "social pressure" on you lot!
Perhaps I will have to turn my Golf into a Griff in the same style as the Indian Peugeot advert!

Oi! I'm very busy at the moment! We've sold over 800 bags of rock salt so far this week.)
And that's just to TVR drivers to put in the boot
And Dusty... seeing as whatever the stars say, the opposite usually happens... I reckon you should stop worrying and
JUST GO OUT AND BUY ONE!
Before you know it summer will be here and you won't be able to find one for love nor money.

Its usually quite good in here but I reckon they are all sulking becuase they cant drive their Griffs at the moment ![]()
Some of us are sulking because not only can we not drive the little darlings but some of us have J.O.B.S.* Having not done any J.O.B.S. for a few months until this week when I started an exciting new J.O.B.S. I don't feel like I should be testing out the mad but kind people's internet usage policy by surfing PH all day - but I'm getting mighty homesick!!! So J.O.B.S. is a double whammy for parting me with Griff and PH
Only consolation is: doing J.O.B.S. all day long should prove beneficial to the TVR maintenance, fuelling and replacement fund

Well my search is going way beyond those of others, as you can probably tell since Im looking to the stars!
Actually, I have been working so much I havent had a chance to do anything else just recently. Hope to get a couple of days off soon to have a look around.
There is a CatC (now repaired) Griff in the Auto Trader which Im pondering. Its quite a way from home hough so needs careful long pondering. I also think its bit pricey for a Cat C.

er... and you think that's expensive?
Bearing in mind that the going price for a 'clean' one of that year would be around £15k at least and that you can take off, say 20% for the fact that it is on the register, that makes it £12k.... I'd say £11k for a 500 Griff if it's in nice nick is a bloody bargain.
If you have any worries get it 'Autoline" checked, this will give it a clean bill of health and also goes on the register that it has been checked as 100% road worthy. They do a thorough job and the nod in the trade is that if it passes Autoline then it's probably straighter than it came out the factory!
Rob Ingleby will have details or contact Nos.

IMHO Cat C, as long as the car's actually fine, ie properly repaired, shouldn't be a problem for anything but resale (check - it MAY be an insurance issue). Thing with cat C cars is they're often bought buy enthusiastic individuals who can't afford a whole one, and do the 'repair' in their lock up. If it's a pro repair it's probably OK though.
When people see you driving round in a shiny (recent respray!) N plate instead of a grotty J, they won't know it's on the register. When I was looking I didn't find a single car that hadn't had some form of body repair - in the end I stopped worrying about it. Having said that, although it's had a nose on it, my car was not written off. I wouldn't have bought a cat C, but only because of the resale issue, which of course exists precisely because of people like me...
