It's going to a third company in the Midlands who machine the rack and the end cap and fit a seal in there.

And dust seals normally cost more than track rod ends unless you know different?

I;d remove gaitors and recover any rack stops - new owners these days may not even be aware if they have been fitted...

I'd take a tape measurement between the 2 TRE's as a quick check in case the rack comes back with the control arms spaced differently (or even different!).

And fit a fuel filter in the return line...

I removed my rack without removing the exhaust. just disconect drop links and push the anti roll bar out of the way. This does take a fair amount of jiggling past the main cat but it will come out of the passenger side. Mine was leaking from the input shaft seal £9.00 from dulfords and been fine ever since, putting it back in is far easier for some reason? oh and you have to remove the copper pipes and seal the holes.

Hmmm, apparently the threads in my rack weren't properly cleaned or Loctited and there was an incorrect (undersize) seal accounting for the variable pressure one side.

I've got a new end cap on it's way to the refurbishers and they're going to machine that and fit an extra o-ring.
