Roll over bar / Full cage

Does any know if an off-the-shelf roll over bar or a full cage is available for the Griff ? I'm in France so taking to a specialist for made to measure is not an option.

- Queeny thinks he's a walking Haynes manual now he's got a new ramp to take nice pictures of.
- Alphabetty Baretti has gone a bit quiet.
- Delboysider tries his best to keep things going but he needs help.
- AJPClive keeps bending over things and appearing in various men's magazines now.

They've still got an unofficial 'my garage is tidier and better equipped than yours' thing going on.

I can see why you would put the spank it sticker on the roll bar as I'm sure your used to being well and truly spanked by Griffs and Scoobys

Saves you some petrol hey mike but should it read Spank Me !

Oh yeh, seats came from a mk 1 Elise, (I can now fit in under the roof with a helmet on), oh missis.

I am om the look out for a pair of Exige seats if any one knows of a pair.

Tower View one is too narrow IMHO, as the car rolls your head will get knocked at the side...etc as its too close to the top angle point.
very strong when upside down tho.
Side impact wont be helped as much as it will with Mikes, if at all.

The trick is to look at the angle plane from the top point of the bar to the bottom. the car side will colapse.

same from the top to the front (bonnet) as the windscreen will colapse.

only probllem with Mikes is the proximity of the top bar to his head. Impossible to get around this without lowering the seat for 6 footers. This is what we did.

ALL better than nothing...and you can have a full harness.
Don't compromise for convenience.

My Elise seat is bolted direct to the floor, no runners and I just fit with a helmet on.

I understand your point regarding proximity of the bar, it is approx. 1" behind my helmet but of course, the bar is as high as it can go if you want to fit the roof!

Mine too, Mike. I wanted to keep the roof.
So had to drop the seat and floor. Now well away from the top bar.
